Spondylolistheis presents a special challenge for chiropractic.  Dr.  Blum will demonstrate and describe a unique blocking procedure augmented by a simple appliance which can be used to restore the lumbar vertebra into a more functional position.  Utilzing a "cupping" devise and pelvic blocks the anterolisthesis can be effectively treated and using SOT R+C monitoring protocols specific to spondylolisthesis allows the doctor to monitor the treatment's progress.  A series of rehab exercises and use of inflatable balls will also be discussed so the patient can continue the care at home.

Are your notes really complete?  Do they meet the criteria required by insurance companies?  Dr.  Monk will illustrate a practical, cost-effective method of note- taking specifically related to an SOT practice.  Particular emphasis will be given to the manner in which the SOAP-note format can be applied to enhance clinical practice and outcomes.  Also reviewed will be the “PART” protocol for noting objective findings.

This presentation will show a practical method of applying these note-taking standards to an office setting in a manner which improves office efficiency as well as patient outcomes.

Category Three Evaluation and Treatment

The Category Three condition occurs when the cartilaginous system, namely the intervertebral disc, fails to adapt to the imbalances caused by pelvic weaknesses inherent in Cathegory Two conditions.

This will be a hands-on / lecture class, fully explaining the Category 3 lesion, its aspects, and its treatment.  Students will be taught the examination procedures specific to the Category 3 condition as well as pelvic blocking procedures.  Also included will be the methods of releasing stress off intervertebral discs as well as identifying their location using cervical palpation. This class is required for all those practitioners interested in obtaining certification status.  Advanced procedures and insights will be offered.

DeJarnette Adjusting Techniques of the Cervical Spine

Dr.  DeJarnette developed several unique methods of adjusting the cervical spine, but separated their teaching among various texts.  For the first time, we will teach his unique methods of adjusting C!-C2 (as described in the extremity texts) as well as the Cervical Stairstep technique (offered in his Category Two technique).  This will be a lecture demonstration as well as hands-on class.
