THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
Robert Klingensmith, D.C., SOTO-USA Executive. Director.
For those who choose to practice in those healing arts referred to as "alternative", "complimentary", or "natural," theirs has never been the popular path. It is a course frought with prejudice and bias from the established medical guard. As for the practitioner and their patients, the journey has certainly taken them down the road less traveled. Fortunately, a path has been blazed by brave and noble providers which has opened the way for patients and other practitioners to follow. Each of you can include yourself as participants in this elite and distinguished crusade. Although it can be lonely in the trenches, this need not be the case. Information is a powerful tool and as stipulated in the SOTO-USA mission statement, we seek to provide an open forum for the interdisciplinary exchange of information.
As we travel down this road, our journey pursues the altruistic goal of being the best possible providers of patient care. A principal objective of SOTO-USA is to offer any willing provider the ability to advance in nowledge, skill and confidence. The winds of change are relentlessly blowing. We must be ever vigilant and hold to the charted course. To borrow a line form Robert Frosts poem The Road Not Taken:
"... I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference."
Associating with forward-thinking, like-minded professionals is but one of the many opportunities SOTO-USA provides in an effort to support you in your quest for excellence. As you travel down that road, know you're not alone and what you do DOES make all the difference.
