Learning, Sharing, and Teaching SOT

Robert Klingensmith, DC, SOTO-USA Executive Director

The SOTO-USA mission empowers us to share our knowledge in a number of ways to improve the quality of health care.Expanding the utilization of SOT involves two components if it is to be fully appreciated. First is teaching more chiropractors SOT; the second is sharing with, and learning from, allied disciplines.

First let's look at the Sharing aspect: the Clinical Symposium.. At this annual event, clinicians and other professionals from a variety of disciplines will come together to pool their knowledge in the latest perspectives in alternative health care. It is designed as just that: a sharing of information. It is designed as an arena for demonstration, not hands on training.

As for the second aspect, the teaching program, SOTO-USA will offer HOT (Hands On Teaching) SEMINARS to be taught only to chiropractors. The SOT "HOT" Seminars will be an extensive series of technique training sessions structured to the various levels of experience. It will be these SOT "HOT" seminar programs which will provide for the expansion of the Sacro Occipital Technique. The “BRIDGE" Seminars (Broaden, Reciprocate, Inspire, Demonstrate, Grow, Exchange) on the other hand, reflect our continued interest in learning from our sister disciplines. Imagine a series involving dental, acupuncture, or counseling instructors with an instructional seminar specifically tailored to each..

Now imagine this "BRIDGE" seminar taking place simultaneously with a chiropractic seminar at the same location, with the last hour devoted to both groups coming together to discuss integrative co-treatment options. What an unparalleled opportunity to learn and grow!

Watch for an SOT "HOT" or “BRIDGE” seminar to be held in your area soon. Check the web page at www.soto-usa.org for the latest in seminar information.
