Denton DG, "Vector Point Therapy"

Vector Point Therapy is a natural progression for SOT practitioners, in that it utilizes the principles of Dr. DeJarnette’s neurological relationships, and applies them to treatment at the cranial equivalents. The Vector Points were discovered by Dr. David G. Denton, and are the proprioceptive cranial equivalents of each spinal and pelvic level. These cranial points are located on or adjacent to the cranial sutures and are the proprioceptive controls for structural, organic, and neuro-muscular function.

When a specific formulated combination of these points are vectored (light irectional pressure contact on the cranium), they produce an immediate bio-mechanical return to normal functional motion. The rotation, lateral flexion, or laterality of any specific spinal or pelvic subluxation can be corrected in a better way, from these cranial equivalents. Spinal and extremity subluxations are primarily caused by reflex neuro-muscular stimulus from cranial sutural and dural stress. A large portion of dural stress is produced by instability or irritation of neuro-receptors in the sacro-iliac weight bearing ligaments.

The first Vector Point correction developed, was to stabilize this sacro-iliac slip separation, (Category 2). Vector Point Therapy has now developed to a level where it can be used on the cranial sutures, like a computer keyboard, to specifically correct any designated spinal or extremity area of the body immediately. Dr. Denton’s additional discovery of the “Homunculus of Analogous Structures” on the cranium, provides unique access to master controls for the related parts of the entire body. The Denton system for finding Vector Points on the cranium, uses therapy localization and easily found cranial landmarks.
